it started with a dream
In 2019, Sam and Rachel had a stubborn, hopeful dream: a church that could make a real difference in the city we call home — not a Sunday-only event, but a family that rolls its sleeves up for London, one street and one relationship at a time.

They didn't wait for a building. They started telling people about the dream — around kitchen tables, over coffee, in living rooms across the city — and a small group of interested people who couldn't shake the same conviction began meeting every week to pray, plan and invite others in.
What began as a handful of interested families became a hundred before we'd even hired a hall. Then came Launch Sunday — the day we opened our doors for the very first time, and Grow Church was born.

A handful of interested friends who shared the dream started meeting weekly — praying, planning and inviting others in, kitchen table by kitchen table.
launch sunday
The day it all became real — we opened our doors for the very first time to a packed room, and a dream became a church family.
Today we gather every Sunday at The Grow Centre and in Grow Groups across the city all week long. The rooms have changed, and the room is a lot fuller — but the dream hasn't.Right now we're a launch team meeting in living rooms — praying, planning and preparing for our first public Sunday on Sunday 7 September 2026. The dream is big; the story is just beginning. Whatever your story — faith, doubt, questions, all three — you're welcome here exactly as you are.

Everything we do starts and ends with Jesus — His life, His words, His grace. We're not building a brand; we're following a person.
people over programs
Church is relationships, not routines. We'd rather have a slow conversation than a slick production.
everyone gets to grow
Nobody's a spectator. From your first Sunday there's a next step — a group, a course, a team, a friendship.

London isn't our mission field — it's our home. We serve it, pray for it and want to see it flourish.

sam & rachel wells
Sam and Rachel planted Grow Church in 2019.Sam and Rachel are planting Grow Church. They love London, long walks along the river, and watching people take their first steps of faith.
marcus oyelaran
Marcus leads Grow Groups and makes sure nobody stands in the lobby alone. He is powered almost entirely by jollof rice and encouragement.
ellie hart
Ellie leads our kids ministry and safeguarding. Trained, DBS-checked and quite possibly the reason your kids will beg to come back on Sunday.
good news, simply put
We're a Bible-believing, historically orthodox Christian church. We believe in one God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that Jesus lived, died and rose again so that everyone can be forgiven and made new; and that the church is God's family, sent to love and serve the world.
